Classic Car Week 2005.

Rättvik, Sweden

A look on the increasing number of bikes, this one had a very nice and racy theme including a trick paint job! This was perhaps one of the top three bikes this evening.

Anothe nice bike was this like the effect off much crome and dark paint.

Back to the cars, a two toned Ford Fairline, my guess is a a 59-er in blue in the last rays of sun.

Most of the bikes was parked with bikers having a picknick and watching the show. but this couple showed that bikes are ment to be taken for a ride.

This Chevelle in blue with white stripes, like common on Shelby Cobras does give a little extra respect att the red lights. I love it!

The weather was nice and one advantages of open tops are here obvious, as on this classy Mustang.

A four door '58 Caddy Hard Top with a rather low load of passangers was lurking around and looking nice..

A four door mid fifties Mopar looking like how a lot of cars imported to Sweden looked like. Black, four door sedans.

G.T.O, three magic letters, that became an icon, not just among Ferraris. Though they did more and more blend in to its GM sisters, they still outwon them in sporty looks in the late sixties and early seventies.

Through the years, the Impala outgrew from initial sportiness and became a really big car, but still remained its trade mark three aired tail lights.

You can inmagine that the cars from the fifties should be rather rare items in US as so many has come to Sweden and given a full resaturation, a huge undertakment on cars like this '59 Olds.

Was rthe Corvette the most expensive Chevy back in 1955, the answer is no this car the fameous Nomad was the top priced car in the classic years. Easy to spot for thanks to the swepeed door posts and some extra crome. This car is the first I have seen that has not being restored, but anyway that patina was as awesome!

One of the sharpest looking cars in its day a 1956 Chevy Bel Air Sports Coupe still holds its magic!

Is this a trend for the future here in Sweden? Copy of a US high way patrol car will not just suprice you but perhps keep you within the speed limits!

Back at the parking lot, a HD with very nice flamed tank looks as dependable road machine you want it to be.

Right at the railroad station was the most popular parking for the bikes, wheter you rode in with a HD or japanese racing bikes, it did not matter as long you enjoyed the day.

A rather rare car, a 1959 Chevy El Camino, looking alot like it may have when it was driven off the dealer back in its youth.

This is what I am talking about, note how ell Buick and GM did blend in four doors and sporty looks of an HT in this Century from 1958.

A combination I have never seen before, big modern wheels on a Caddie coupe, they actually did make the car look a lot smaller and sporty. But that is my opion...

Another one of the Phords finest of the fities. 1957 Fairlaine

Not that common, unfortunally a tricked out Chevy truck from the seventies. Slammed and chopped, prowling for a race?.

I do have a naturnal weekness to 'Vettes, old or modern I don't mind as they are all fine. This is a 1958 just look at it and let it all suck in.

Still in 1958 it seemed to be important, that even the massive cars like this Caddie HT should maintain some sportyness. I guess it might be a bit tough to find decent parking lots in a busy weekday in downtown area...

There should be a law against these cars, inmagine a red Corvette convertible sitting alone, waiting to be driven off by someone with a smaile on his face, while the stereo i pumping "Little red Corvette" by Prince, such so sexy way to check out babes.

Not to be forgotten are the rods, like this nicely outlined and stanced 36 Phord Tudor.
