Sälen
The mountains close to the borugh of Sälen at north west of the county is sominated by the large ski resort, perhaps the largest in the country, definitely largest in Dalecarlia. I planned for some more or less typical "tourist shots" but after a couple of shots went for more landscape and shooting few of older buildings.It is kind of puzzlling feeling to visit Sälen during and winter. During the winter the business is very busy with a lot of tourists, while the summer the area is close to semi Swiss version of a ghost town.
Vattnäs & Vångsgärde
During thre period when the winter starts to fold into spring offers longer sun downs, and more colorful sunsets than you had for months. These images were shot 18.th February 2004. .
