Classic Car Week 2005.

Rättvik, Sweden

More Corvettes, a '75 model in red. Like Prince sang in 1999 album, "Little red Corvette, moving much too fast..."

This car was seen last year, and it looked as mean as the year before. This year it seemed to be happy to watch the show. A real nice mean machine version of a ´55 Chevy.

There is something wrong here, a Opel Commodore but the sound is unmistakingly a V8 instead of the usual six banger. Opel Commodores and their four cylinder sisters of Opel Rekords from 1968 to 1971 were handsome, especially the Hardtops.

Rättvik though beeing a resort in the past, does not have a casino, but would this black 1958 Caddie be a classy ride for that occation?....

...but then again, some of the passangers are a bit to young for the shows, and the slot machines.

GM.s pony cars are not that plentyful as they used to be, but this '68 Camaro is nice.

...and so is this Charger RT in poison green! I like the muscle cars!

Talk about classics, a Ford Thunderbird from 1956 are so handsome, not a family car but I guess handy if you planning to start one with a hot date. Love those white walls on these cars.

More rag tops? a 54 Impala in sporty red.

...and a 1953 Buick in red and white..

..in a parade of convertibles a Volvo Amazon with some thing sticking out of the hood. It sounded funny and smelled funny, a wood burner coversitation? Anyway, in most cases the Amazons are receiving more and more attention as tey are indeed very handsome cars.

... back to the parade, a '58 Buick in sporty red..

another break in the parade an attention getter in form of black suede pre war Chevy ? coupe.

But as the weather was warm, I needed a bit of shade, and I ran in to this Ford Fairlane, with some its design inspired by the Thunderbird, I guess tha she is from 1959.

A friend of mine was drooling when he saw this 68 Camaro. he owns a 68 Firebird Convertible and would like to have a Camaro coupe as stall mate. Perhaps, how about buying a lottery ticket and a bit of luck?

This had to be the meanest vehicle in town that night. The wall of tires indicate that don't think of outrunning this beat at the redlights. Note the shoehorned headders on the three quarter view. No it is not the most economicla ride you can think of but in otherhand you won't feel that much of G forces during accelaration in a Nissan Micra either.

As usual carwashes were kept busy at the gas stations that night. A black Corvette will be cleaming in the darkness to night.

Some of you may have missed a pic of a '58 Caddy HT in light blue metallic? OK, to keep you happy, therefor these two pics. Once again the white walls gives an extra treat on these vintage cars.

It looks like thes guys have been parting and somehow in the haze got lost from MASH 4077, and found themselves in Sweden..... Must been one hell of a party, why wasn't I invited?!

More sexy Corvettes, a '65 convertible..

Another look at one of the favorites, the old Volvo truck.

I like this, it is sleak and mean, a stock Yamaha Warrior!

My favorite vintage of early Impalas is the 61.´.. I guess that it is tie with the '58 but I really lie how the tail turned out this year. The car look so clean in design.

This is hot, a 1959 station wagon looks so hot and loooow. On the customized cars green looks so dead right. More image will follow.

The round lines of late thirties and cars from forties make a an exellent choise to add graphics and in this case with a Chevy, it really stands out and works nicely!

These ladies tried to prove me and people around that mineral water could make them giggle. Yeah right... but they had a good time.

A yellow Charger does allway draw attention!!.

The nicest muscle car this evening was this 69 Mustang fastback with tasteful mods and new paint.

In the evening tha haze of gas and some not so discreate burn outs made a setting for this '58 Impala. And as a extra treat a look at the cock pit. It is hard to realize that the car is of same vintage as Bruce Dickinson and is actually 47 years old.

Next to it another GM '58 model a caddie. The effect of the sun set and the haze made these cars to really stand out.

While we are at it, this 1958 Impala looks a lot like the white Impala coupe driven by Ron Howard in American Grafiti
