Classic Car Week 2001.

Rättvik, Sweden

Maybe the two of the nicest orginal cars of the night was these pair of Impalas from 1958.

Cruising was going on through the night, causing some traffic jams .

In 1957, Thunderbird "blended" in to the more traditonal cars offered by Ford and the T-bird was no longer a two seater.

I got also a thing for trucks. They sure got a certain flavour, like this 1957? GMC.

I guess that Lincolns that nice had an epidmic problems with flat tires that night.

You saw GMC-truck from 1957, here is the Chevys variation.

1955 model Ford dressed black is a one of the percect prowlers in the night.

Finally The U:S: truck trends are arriving to Scandinavia. This 1953 was an absolute beauty...

Need a perfect transportation for your local country club?

One of the hottest cars around is a 1973 'vette, specially in black. Inmagine this with a 427.......

Guess that I have not seen so many 1958 Impalas as I saw that night.

A nice change was this twin-wankel Mazda. The guys were having a good time too. No that log truck in the background was not participating in cruising...

There were only a handfull of deuces, this year....

Another look at the 1946 Ford seen earlier.

Some of the brands brings a strange image in my head. Inmagine the bad guy in the comic strip enters the stage as he opens the car door. I don´t know which strip it was but he seems to have driven a '55 Dodge 4-door.

The trick '46 Phord seen earlier.

In 1955 Chevy unveiled their new generation of their truck line. Top of the line was the Cameo, a fleetside truck with panels flush to the cab. But the stepsides were not forgotten, and fine example of this is seen here.

A Jag E-type is still a sight for sore eyes...

A '55 model of Chevys Bel Air Sports Coupe in classic red and white....

Not all the nicest influences comes from North America or Europe. Orginally Chevrolet of Australia offered these nice looking variation, later known as fastbacks. Chevrolet transformed the idea into their U.S line up and was a success in the early years. but a s the design was aleter on blended to later models the interest waned and was dropped in 1953. A late forties fastback with a classy two colored paint job is a very nice toutch.

Inmagine a '34 model of 3 window coupe and ZZ Top pumping "Driving while blind"....

This was the nicest 'vette on the grounds, decked out in red candy apple with silver base... Me? I was drooling....

Nice finish on the engine of a dragstrip inspired Deuce.

A 1940 model Ford coupe is very nice looking car, wheather it is in orginal orb as a rod.

One of the meanest cars around that night was this '39 Chevy that also gave a variation to the early Fords.
