Jädraås pictures .

This is maybe the first building you notice while seeing a railroad, the depot. The one in Jädraås is the original dating to the days when the line was extended to Jädraås. Over the time as the line was extended the building received add ons as wings to house the headquarters and the management. Today the building offers more than enough space to run the remaining stretch of the line and the wing seen to the right is rented to a local company. Note the two-winged semaphore that originally controlled the line to both directions.

Here is a pic somewhat more forward to east, showing the arrangement of the "passenger" yard section.

Even further toward the roundhouse to the right you see the old shop building that handled the maintenance of the rolling stock, but also constructed the majority of them as well. The tracks to the right leads into the turntable.

This view as we turnaround 360 degrees and we see the former main and the shop building and the lead to the turntable and the roundhouse. Behind that is the water tank.

Note the spartan station platforms. This is pretty close to station scenes some 70 years ago.

So to spare you the excitement, a view at the roundhouse, the area is less impressive in person than what appears here the area is really cramped.

More pics.

We are turned from the depot towards the old shop. seeing the passanger yard.

A shot at the same direction from the station, the building at left is a newly built gasstation.

A couple of views 180 degrees west, shows a bit of the track arrangement of the north.

Additional view of the shop area.

Behind the old car shop is more shop buildings and one of them is a permanent display of the old times in the area.

DONJ was original all right, like take a check at this unique flanger. This car was pulled and the blades behind the car took care of that the roadway was cleared for the drainage.
