Blausee-Mitholz Trackplan.

The track-plan shows the arrangement prior 1971 on the lower part of the loop.
The track at lower left is the lower part of the loop and heads toward Kandergrund the opposite track is toward Kanderstied.
Also in the lower left is the location of the flagstop of Blausee, located between the flagstop and the lower bridge over the creek is a cottage for the lineworker, in whose responsibility in earlier days was to inspect his portion of the line and to do some light mainteinance, the gravel company is located to the right, and the village in the middle.
The building closest to the gravel company is a schoolhouse. Tracks 2 and 3 were the mainline tracks while tracks 1, 4 and 5 were used for switching and storage. or for local freights to be overtaken by hotter trains.

Some ideas on modeling the site.

The area is pretty vast and needs a lot of space if you want to model it accurately, specially the complete set of loops even in N-scale. But if you concentrate on the lower portion between Blausee and Blausee-Mitholz and using smaller radius this could be done.
If you have space available you can also include Felsberg on the upper level by a hidden helix, placed in the tunnel to the left part of the yard. . The trackplan of Felsberg is a simple long siding.
To simulate The vastness of the mountain vistas and the unmodeled part of loop area you can use a mirror. If the mirror is placed carefully it would hide modeled tracks, it would do the trick.

The yard of the Blausee Mitholz ends into a tunnel. The engine Ae8/8.s dates from the late fifties and early sixties.
You will find more information on various engines at the Motive of power section.

The problem is that is that you need at least two sets of hidden large staging yards or one large connected by two sets of helixes. The large staging yards are needed to simulate the busy traffic the line sees. I guess best way to keep things in order is to use DCC.
The line is today double tracked, but the doubletracking was completed in various sections and you can simulate such by double tracking the track to B-M and put trains on hold for meets or to be overtaked by faster trains. this would give a bottleneck that prototypes wants to eliminate but gives a lot interest for modelers. Before the station was closed down in late seventies, Blausee-Mitholz was a regular stop for regionaltrains using EMU.s. The trains heading to Kandergrund stopped at track two and the trains to opposite direction used track three. Blausee-Mitholz was a popular stop for tourists, because the waters of the Blausee and for trout fishing.

Latest power is the RE 465.s, and they are the most powerful 4-axle units in the world. Here 465 004 is powering a Regionalconsist of various EWI and EWII cars.

The line sees various traffic as being link from north to south. The freights, though using some of the most powerful engines in the world are double headed, sometimes a midtrain helper is added in the middle of the train. The freight is interrupted by various passengertrains ranging from Regional-, Interregio-, Intricate- and Eurocitytrains, the two latter often includes passenger cars from Italy, Germany and Austria. On Eurocitytrains consists of foreign cars are common, as well as some are using some of the finest high speed trains from Europe. A well balanced roster of motive of power and consist is a key to bring the trains close to prototype, but gives that right dramatic environment to show also the development from older equipment to the to days modern high-tech designs.
