The orginal station became a war casuality when the yards was bombed in 23.rd of april 1940. A temporary station was organised in the southern most tunnel and in the Raumaline tunnel. In 1941 a new larger station was opened which is still in use. Dombås was in its later years unique, since its on line swiching of passanger trains for the Rauma line. This picture taken from the roundhouse shows the present lull of this once very busy yard. As you might note, photographs are invaluable tool for invidual details as the platform extension and the modern details of the both platforms. For handling of express-freight and baggage a forklift is used. As the line was electrified wooden catenary mast were used on the mainline, while here are concrete mast with steel bridges are used in the yard.
