Swapmeet in Mora 2004.

Mora, Sweden

Late thirties Chevy, my guess that it is a thirty niner looking like it wants to play. But I guess that the guy at the wheel have to wait few more years to reach down to the aclelator of his dads car.

One of the most loved cars in Sweden is the 59 Impala. Either you love the bold design or you hate it but it looks good in black. Just think of this, the car is actually 45 years old.

One of the more popular rides was this red Vespa. It looks like that the Mrs wants a ride or that the hubby brings his purple Triumph chopper next year or a 32 Ford roadster...

You can come by waliking to the event or in style with this Caddy Fleetwood.

A suprice! Let's go back to the future with De Lorean. There are lot's of stories of De Lorean, some true some not but they did actually produce few cars before the reality caught up with the illusion... Now where is Doc and Michael J. Fox?

The second look at the beautyful Bel Air. In every angle a great looking car...

Most of the late thirties streem lined cars has a stroke of noblesse over them, don't they?

Today, the japanese made bikes looks just nice like this Yamaha Drag Star.

A '66 Charger gleaming in the after rain sun rays.

A greatly remodelled late T Ford Tudor in red

Who says that a street machine needs to be a coupe? This estate wagon looks like it means business while hauling groceries from the mall.

When I was a kid in the sixities, this car drew attention. And created new class of cars called Pony cars. Some 40 years later! This Mustang look as classic than ever before.

A side view of that black Impala rag top seen earlier. Few years back I built a 1:24 scale kit of these 59.ers. Mine ended up in black with red interior and white top as this car.

The brute of the weekend price goes to this. A Deuce coupe with big block and blower. The tires looked suprisingly fresh...

Back to the European Fords from the sixties. If you were lookning for a de luxe model of Ford with out getting too flamboiyant with a big Zephyr, this Coucil Corsair might been a thing for you. The Fords from England and Germany offered a compact Anglia, conservative family rides called Taunus, more sporty Cortina topped by Lotus Cortina, a de luxe model Council Corsair, and the top of the cathalogue the large Zephyr. Later as the Cortina blended in to family offerings, a new modell called Escort too over the racing and rallye scenes and the basic models at the dealers sold well.

In Sweden a late model Triumph sport car is very exotic bird.

Top of the bill of Chrystler offerings in the fifties was these huge Imperials. Not exactly a sub compact, but great to haul fairly large number of buddies.

There are only some ten years that is apart from these Ford Fairlaines but a world in designs. Buth shows what was in vougue in their eras.

A rear end view of '64 Impala rag top. Not at all bad looking but over shadowed by many by the sweeping lines of the 65 models.

...a second look at the mean Deuce. There is nothing subtle about this car.

I could not resist to shoot this Kawasaki bathing in the sun...

After leaving the show I ran in to this nice Buick by the court house...

Let's have look on Volvos... This was the first huge seller the PV 444, In all looknig like a much smaller version of 40.es Ford. It was offered in 1947 for the first time and if I am not entirely wrong, to 1958. The car lost its split rear window in 1958 but retained over the years the split wind shield. This one is one of the latest models and I am not sure if the grill is original or from the later PV 544. The car was also offered as a estate wagon or as a pick up called PV 445.

This isthe secon generation of the PV modell. Much of the body remains the same but the car sorts now one piece curved windsield. The car remained in production untill 1966. The estate car called 210 or more commonly Duett, was infact beside the same looks much different car as it still had the body on a frame, the Duett was very popular utility car and last ones built was in 1968.

The nxt generation acr the 121-123 Amazon was introduced in late fifties and vere in production untill 1970. This car is a early version before the design was updted with the same body but less crome trim in 1962. There were three body versions of Amazons a two door sedan a four door and a estate wagon, The basic model 121 was followed by 122 S (S = Sport) and 123 GT...

An Amazon is till a very beautyful car, even as an estate wagon. This one was looking for a new home.

This was the top of the line of Volcos in the sixites. The very, very handsome P1800, that shared the engine with the 123 GT version of the Amazon. This car from 1968 has during the winter been renovated and still misses some bits of trim but what a beauty!!

Not a part of the show, or even from the same weekend but I wanted to include this Mustang to this collection....
